Owner/designer/shaper Gavin Gates was born and raised in Huntington Beach, California and was bit by the surfing bug as a teenager. Travelling the world surfing, learning how to build and designing surfboards has always been a focus of his life. A move to Colorado to be closer to family changed his focus from surfing ocean waves to surfing behind a boat.
Thankfully the surfing stoke was kept alive and RZVR WakeSurfDesigns was born in 2018. Horsetooth Reservoir near Fort Collins, Colorado is our training ground and where the name RZVR (short for reservoir) was born.

RZVR Wake Surfboards are designed in Colorado and built by hand in Costa Mesa, California - 100% made in the U.S.A - by surfers and craftsmen with decades of board building experience.
RZVR creates wake surfboards with the same technology and feel of ocean surfboards, and we are proud to use sustainable materials where we can while maintaining the highest performance.
Influenced by the colorful graphics and Punk music of the1980's, we've put a modern twist on our board graphics and emerging clothing line.
